Since the mid 1980s or so, I have been inclined to plug in disparate systems to create synergistic solutions.  Like connecting a Windows driven PC to an the original Apple LaserWriter around 1986.  Matching Postscript to Windows.  Or using an early cellphone (3 Watts?) to an IBM ThinkPad 350 in 1992 to make connection to company inventory.  In those days I could sell lots of IBM brand PCs and knowing inventory aligned with what I sold.  So on and so on.  Making hybrid solutions via combinations of largely off the shelf or open source or inexpensive software components continues today.  There is no shortage of permutations.  With the cloud still evolving, Apple doing its thing, Facebook, LinkedIn etc., etc.  Hence the HYBRID name.  The .MN is duplicitous.  It is the abbreviation of the state I live in (even though it is aligned truly with Mongolia) and it makes the name HYBRID.MN available.

Education is a passion for me as I observe, participate and write about opportunities for technology to accelerate learning.  Politics is another area of particular interest as I try to discover new dynamics that the internet can have to a more constructive impact to our government.  

 Realizing the cloud had become a reality in every dimension of my digital work, I decided to do a diagram of it to be able to see at a glance its simple beauty or concerning complexity.  

Over the past 10 or so years, these tools have come into place.  In this "cloud", there are producivity applications as well as very specific professional tools for work.  Security has become the basis for the choices I have made, functionality is next.
